Christ's Creed

I believe that I am a spiritual being living a human life.

I believe that I was created out of love and in my creation, I am granted the Fruits of the Spirit for the highest good of myself and others.

I believe that I am equal to every other human being.

I believe that all creation is a blessing for me to enjoy, and that I am called by God to be the best steward of the Earth.

I believe in the supreme commandments of Jesus to love God with all my heart and others as myself.

I do my best to live a life of compassion and love for others.

I believe in original blessing and free will, and that even though I may sin, what matters more is how much I love.

I partake in the sacraments and enjoy them, knowing that they are a means of grace.

I believe in faith communities that are inclusive of all people and I will respect differences in beliefs as we are all seeking the divine reality.

I believe through Christ I can reach my own ascension!

THIS I BELIEVE!

The Christ Creed was co-written by Archbishop Seijo and Rev. Vaughan in August 2013 to help shape the culture of the AFF. They wrote it as a response to the rigid traditionalism and legalistic evangelicalism that has infected today’s church. It is not designed to replace existing Christian creeds, but rather is an expression of our values.
